We invite you to a place where the forest is on your doorstep and nature sets the rhythm of the day: the scent of wild berries, raspberries and mushrooms, and meadows full of lupins, wild orchids and lily of the valley. Here you can hide away in the moss simply to “laze about”, or listen to the song of 50 species of birds, among which the skylarks play the leading role. Green valleys set the scene for your stay here, and at night they offer the spectacle of a starry sky that you can enjoy without end.

Your stay is rounded off by a sweeping view of the Biała Lądecka valley and Mount Czarniak, best admired from the large, cosy veranda or straight from a deckchair in the meadow. Kłodzko Land is a world unto itself – an almost enclosed mountain basin, often called the “Lord’s Own Corner” (Herrgottswinkel) of Silesia. The landscape here is more dramatic than in the lowland foothills: fantastical sandstone formations in the Table Mountains alternate with deep, lush green valleys and gently rolling hills. All along the roads, Baroque wayside shrines and stone crosses greet us. In historic spa towns such as Lądek-Zdrój and Duszniki-Zdrój the spirit of old summer resorts lives on, while the mighty Kłodzko Fortress towers over the whole scene – a blend of rugged mountain nature and deep-rooted tradition. And when a campfire crackles in the crisp mountain air of the Kłodzko Basin, you feel the deep sense of security that this mountain-ringed landscape gives. The flames cast dancing shadows against the backdrop of old spruce forests, while a starry sky stretches out above us. In this silence, far from the bustle, a simple moment by the fire becomes an almost magical experience in the heart of wild nature.

What are the absolute top attractions in Kłodzko Land that you really should not miss?

PAbove all, be sure to visit Kłodzko Fortress with its underground labyrinths and the Table Mountains, unique in Europe (Szczeliniec Wielki and Błędne Skały). Your must-see list should also include the “Lower Silesian Jerusalem” (the Basilica in Wambierzyce), the mysterious Skull Chapel in Czermna and the historic Paper Mill in Duszniki-Zdrój.

Is Kłodzko Land a good destination for cycling trips?

This is a real mecca for cyclists! The region is famous for its huge Singletrack Glacensis trail network – over 260 km of forest trails of varying difficulty, winding through picturesque scenery. Whether you are looking for adrenaline on MTB descents or gentle routes for a family ride through the valleys, you will find the perfect conditions here.

Is it easy to visit Czech attractions from Kłodzko Land?

Absolutely, yes! The County of Kłodzko has the Czech border on three sides, which makes it a perfect base for trips to our neighbours. In no time at all you can reach the famous Rock Town in Adršpach, the Safari Park in Dvůr Králové, or walk in the clouds on the Sky Walk in Dolní Morava. A chance to explore two countries in a single holiday.

Why should you come here in winter?

Kłodzko Land is Lower Silesia’s capital of winter fun. You will find two top ski resorts here: Zieleniec Sport Arena (with its unique Alpine microclimate) and Czarna Góra Resort. Cross-country skiers will find hundreds of kilometres of groomed trails in the Bystrzyckie and Table Mountains, and families with children plenty of sledging hills.

Is Kłodzko Land a good place for families with children?

Absolutely, yes! Besides easy mountain trails, children can enjoy Minieuroland in Kłodzko (a miniature park), the Toy Museum in Kudowa-Zdrój, the Bear Cave in Kletno (the most beautiful in Poland) and plenty of attractions at the Gold Mine (an underground train ride, gold panning). The region welcomes its youngest visitors all year round.
